The Reuse Shop in Tyseley is offering Birmingham residents the opportunity to learn about basic bicycle repairs through drop-in workshops delivered by Circle Round.
The workshops will take place on Saturday 11 December 2021 from 10am to 3pm and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are invited to bring along their bikes to be shown how to make basic repairs on them.
The full address of the Reuse Shop is The Reuse Shop, Veolia, James Road, Tyseley, Birmingham B11 2BA.
The workshops are being offered as a step towards a sustainable future in reducing the production of waste. This can be achieved by making repairs to items we own instead of replacing them with new ones. If something is broken, it is encouraged to buy pre-loved items rather than brand new ones, as it actively decreases the demand for further manufacturing, which is a really positive thing for the planet, and it will also save money.
The Reuse Shop will also have a dedicated Christmas corner to purchase pre-loved Christmas decorations, bikes and gifts for loved ones for a more sustainable Christmas.
