Perry Barr Household Recycling Centre is open once again
Veolia has been working in partnership with Birmingham City Council to redevelop the Perry Barr Household Recycling Centre (HRC) and Waste Transfer Station. The new site has improved facilities available to the public that will enhance the user experience, increase recycling, and continue the processing of waste and recycling with minimal disruption to the environment and area.

The Perry Barr Redevelopment will improve the local area and the offering to residents to recycle more of the right things in a modern facility. The recycling centre will be on one level to improve the accessibility around the site. The site will see an increase in recycling containers and a reduction of general waste containers to help residents recycle more of their waste. There will also be improved parking facilities in addition to operational efficiency to reduce the time spent on site.
Furthermore, there will be improvements made to the entry and exit points of the site so work traffic will no longer be required to merge with HRC visitors and reduce the impact on Holford Drive.
This is a rough phased plan of the redevelopment works due to take place from August 2021.
A booking is required to visit Birmingham’s household recycling centres as access to the sites will be denied without a confirmed booking.
