Come to our Visitor Centre to learn more about sustainability and recycling. We invite schools and community groups to take part in educational workshops, courses or events about the life cycle of waste, and how our behaviour contributes to a greener planet.
Through interactive exhibits and guided tours, learn how recycling, composting, and responsible disposal play a critical role in reducing our environmental footprint. Whether you’re a teacher planning a field trip or a community leader organising an outing, the Tyseley Visitor Centre provides a unique and impactful learning experience.
Schools
We offer schools and children's groups a variety of educational assemblies, workshops and e-learning. Our programmes are curriculum-aligned to complement classroom learning. They are suitable for all ages. Our resources are designed to be fun and interactive, and teach students about the importance of recycling. Our sessions use crafts, debates, and games to engage children.

Community Groups
We deliver talks and workshops for community groups. Our knowledgeable staff provide an in-depth understanding will lead you through the journey of waste, explaining the process with engaging talks and hands-on activities. Participate in workshops that teach practical skills for sustainable living, such as composting, up-cycling, and reducing single-use plastics.

Event Space
We work with community organisations or schools to host events related to recycling or sustainability. Events include talks, workshops or networking events. Our Visitor Centre can offer drinks, refreshments and activities for participants.
